This past month I've photographed some really fun and interesting families in some wild and crazy locations! Our good friends and long time clients Tina & Larry Stecher are no exception. This family though, wins the award for most extreme pregnancy portraits! Tina's first pregnancy portrait while pregnant with Hayden, had her naked and fully submersed in the ocean at Willows Beach in February! This time around with baby #2 we decided to kick it up a notch and hike in to the waterfall at Goldstream Park. With a toddler in tow, Tina & Larry and Anna & I walked on stones and in knee deep water over and through the river to get to our location of choice. It was freezing and beautiful and Tina was a trouper and a goddess all at once! It wasn't 15 minutes in to the session when I asked Anna to take the lovely Hayden away from his parents so I could photograph the two of them alone. Well, Hayden didn't like this idea very much. Anna held the wailing toddler just out of frame while I got to work. After a mere 2 minutes of hard crying, Hayden began to sob. And as all of us Mommies out there know, sobbing leads to gasping and gasping leads to...vomiting! Well, our poor unsuspecting Anna is well versed in many things baby, but unfortunately this time she just didn't see it coming! There was vomit everywhere! And when I say everywhere, I mean everywhere; in her hair, on her face, on her coat, her pants and her shoes! I always have wondered how so much vomit can come out of such a little bodie! Did I run to her rescue you ask? No, I did what I do best, I took pictures!! Rest assured, Hayden is just fine and he recovered within seconds of being returned to his parents. Anna on the hand, may never recover...

Our last event was such a huge success that we have added another event for May so you don't have to wait until November! I have included a sample of a finished product from the last event. It is a compilation of images of Joelle St. Clair, KoolFM radio announcer. She and I had a blast and she looks just so adorable I had to share this one! (with her permission of course!)

Madison is 5 years old (going on 25) and the tulips are in full bloom!

Every Wednesday I drive by Vantreight Farms on my way to pick up my daughter, and every Wednesday I think to myself:

"I really have to bring Madison here and let her frolic before all the tulips are gone."

Then I realized that never again will Madison be 5 years old when the tulips are in full bloom...
